What is your role in the project?
Actually I'm a co-cordinator in the summer camp. My role is to help even dutsch and tunisian young people to integrate the group, to understand each other with all the differences between cultures and society rules, to help them to understand some children's behavior [as I'm a psychologist] and to replace the coordinator in her lack.
How did yu get involved?
I was involved in the project during my first experience in summer camps organized by Les Oiseaux Bleus when I joined the group in its second colony in 2006, I enjoyed the experience and I held to be still present in the colonies and in the activities of dutch youth at the center of Sidi thabet; I was in charge of organizing and coordinating, as well as the organization of the group home and its transportation and all he needed.
Leaving the center of Sidi thabet, I do not think one minute to leave the children, so I am keeping in touch by being a member of the association "Sanad Essanad" which deals with these children; and, also remaining faithful to Les Oiseaux Bleus and all their activities.
What is your motivation to work in the project?
My main motivation in what I do is draw a smile on the face of a child specific need; is to see the joy in her eyes when I kiss him; is to allow him to live a dream which he never dreamed.
Do you have an advice / motivatio or nice experience?
I love that feeling when I see a young help a child, I love to see the exchange between a dutch and a tunisian regardless of culture or religion or any difference.
Year after year, a great story is being written, a great experience is about to be woven with each group that I meet, I always learn something new and I always try to be helpful and to be there when they need me, this exchange will always be beneficial at all levels and for both the children and the group accompanying dutch and tunisian.
